Many years ago I lamented that Studio Ghilbli would never touch The Hobbit or Lord of the Rings. If by some miracle that day ever ocured, it would be Ilthildin who should share the creation of the soundtrack, along side other greats such as Jim Kirkwood. 'The Wood was Full of The Rumor of Him' is something special. It is as the kids say now, "A big mood."

Contrary to the grim artwork, Wandeweorpe is a very comforting and introspective experience. I feel like slowly walking alongside a still lake in the dark winter months, taking in the cold and fresh air of an overcast sky as slivers of hope and serenity pass by me. A very uplifting and freeing feeling. Maybe the cover isn't all that discordant after all and wading through the dark reaches is a necessary step towards grasping the light.

I LOVE the idea of Winter Synth album being about Nuclear Winter...how original and refreshing !!! The whole album is magical but i just can't stop replaying the second half, it sounds like it would fit Metro 2033 perfectly and the last song is out of this world. Highly recommended !!!
